Publix Baker The first thing many shoppers notice upon entering a Publix is the aroma of freshly baked bread and rolls. It’s up to our team of more than 1,500 Bakers to “rise to the occasion” and produce these mouth-watering delights according to the highest standards possible. If you like to bake, take pride in a job well done, enjoy pleasing people, and work well in a team atmosphere, this may be the job for you!

The Bakery has different roles, such as: Bakery Utility, Baker Apprentice, Bakery Clerk and Baker. Our associates aged 16 and over can get their foot in the door in a Bakery Utility or Bakery Clerk job, but to be a Baker Apprentice or Baker, you must be 18 years of age or older. Want to be a Baker? You must have work experience as a professional baker to fill that role.

Alabama: None at this time.
Florida:  Boca Raton, Deerfield Beach, Delray Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Plantation, Pompano Beach,
Georgia: Atlanta, Decatur, Lawrenceville, Lilburn, Loganville, Snellville, Tucker,
North Carolina: None at this time.
South Carolina: Columbia,
Tennessee:  Nashville,

If an opening is noted in a city near you, why not head to your nearest Publix in that city and apply? And even in the event there are no openings, you can always apply in case an opening arises.

    Good evening
    I would like to let you know that Julie replied my email. She informed me that I have to be prepared to move on my own if the manager decide to hire me outside Atlanta, GA. She said that most the jobs related to Accounting are in Florida. I am ready to move if i have an opportunity is given to me to expand my career. I have a question to you. should I tell my Manager that I am looking for new opportunity so that he could connect me to those hiring manager ? How can I follow-up the status of my applications?

      Hi! I’m glad to hear Julie contacted you. At this point, it is not necessary to mention it to your hiring manager. Your best bet is to notify him / her if you receive notification of an interview. Each hiring manager arrives at their selections independently, so you can use your manager as a reference. I hope this helps.

    I have question i applied in publix 6 months ago but they didn’t call me back,so i applied again in 11-12-15 and i used the same user name and the same email but they didn’t send me any email or any thing. But the first time that i applied they send me my user name and my password, but this time they didn’t send me any thing ,so how i’m going to update my application.

        Hi Sarah,

        In answer to both your messages, yes, You will want to use the same user name and password. THe email you recieve is just a confirmation that the application is in the system. I am a bit concerned that you did not receive this confirmation and suggest two things. First, check your spam or junk email folder in case the email went there. If not, I would return to the store to check and see if you can log in. It is possible you set up this new application with an email address that contained a typographical error in which case you would NOT receive that confirmation email. And one more thing: You need to update your application each 30 days or less. It only takes about 3-5 minutes but if you do not do this, the managers cannot view your application. I hope these responses help. If you have any other questions, come on back and ask!

    Hello Maura I got information from my Atlanta Publix Bakery Plant Safety Specialist About a program leading to Management Position at a store. I find out that he was talking of the Registration of Interest. I would like to register, but I do not know where to go. Please can you tell me where I should go for the registration? Thanks. Koffi

    my name is ronelson register , I have application since 2 , 3 years every month I update it I don’t know why they never give me a chance to get in

      Hi Ronelson, have you stopped in to speak with a manager? We recommend that, in addition to applying, you stop in and speak with managers to let them know you’ve applied and why you would make a great Publix associate. There are more helpful tips in this blog: bit.ly/LandBlog .

    Hi Ma’am,
    My name is Robert Chery. I am an employee for Publix supermarket. I have been having such great resistance with a transfer that was submitted for me by management in my store 0046 north Miami. I called the 3 available stores months before I submitted my transfer. But since I’ve been here now about 3 weeks, I’ve gotten nothing ,but excuses. I was wondering why is this done? I had this done to me before in 2009 so I left the company. I work so hard to become a full time employee for Publix, but still get the short end of the stick. Its Christmas time, me and my children for the first time in their short lives have no home. I moved here to take care of my mom, because she’s old and sick. The saddest part of it all is my wife has been working with this company from 2001 and is being treated the same way. We both are facing this same crisis together. I just wonder why do you work so hard to be treated as if you don’t matter? I was pushed out of my store in 2009 when a store close in Atlanta, but these folks here in Valdosta and Tifton won’t even budge for us?
