Publix's new Support Job Center

Publix’s new Support Job Center

We have launched our new Publix Jobs Center for all of our Distribution, Manufacturing, Industrial Maintenance, Corporate Office, and Information Technology job postings!  As of today, all new job postings will be posted in the New Publix Jobs Center on our website.  The jobs that were posted on our Original Publix Jobs Center will remain posted in the original system until they’re filled.

What’s so great about the new system?  Let me fill you in.

For External Applicants

  • As an external applicant, you can connect your LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter accounts to sign in to the system and parse information into your account profile. You can also share job postings to your social media accounts to help us spread the word about all of the opportunities we have available at Publix.
  • If you don’t want to apply for a job but want us to have access to your resume information, you can drop your resume off by clicking on the “Submit resume/CV” link on the log in page.

For Internal Applicants

  • If you’re an internal applicant, you can log in to the system using your Publix user ID and password (same log in as PASSport).

For All Applicants

  • When you add information into your account profile, the information can be pulled into each application you submit so that you don’t have to reenter it.
  • You can create multiple job search agents that will automatically search for jobs in the system. When jobs are posted that match your search criteria, you’ll receive an email notification.  Be sure to apply for those jobs right away because the job postings may be removed quickly.
  • You can save and use up to five different resumes for customizing your submission for each job you apply to.

How do you get started?  That’s a great question.  It’s as easy as one, two, three.

  1. Visit the Publix Jobs Center on our website.
  2. If you’re a Publix associate, use the links within the Publix Associate If prompted, log in using your Publix user ID and password.  If you’re not a Publix associate, use the links within the Non-Associate row.  Create your user name and password in the new system.  If you forget your login information, use the links on the log in page.
  3. Click on the “Edit your profile” link from you personal account to enter your information or get started with your job search by clicking on “Search openings.”

There is a big change from the original system that you need to be aware of.  Once you submit an application on the new system, and you’re found to meet the required qualifications of the job, you’re going to receive email communications from Publix.  Emails will contain instructions that you MUST complete in order for your application to move forward to additional screening steps.  These steps must be followed for each application you submit. If you have applied on the new site, please check your email, including your spam folder, daily for any communication from Publix!

Leave questions or comments on this blog.  Otherwise – start your search now by visiting our website!

    Hello,

I had an interview at Lakeland LV warehouse almost 2 weeks ago and haven’t gotten a call or email since. I tried to log into my account and it no longer works to check my application status. I only have a candidate reference number from an older email. How can I find out about my status?

    Thanks,
    Matt Olsen

hello, thank-you for the opportunity to discuss my future employment at the upcoming opening of Winston-Salem, NC Publix store.
Which nearby [ within 50 miles or so ] Publix store should I visit to keep my application updated, and talk to management about my prospects for employment? I have been visiting the Cary, NC location. I notice there have been stores opening in the Concord, NC area, as well.

You are advised to return to the store at which you applied to update your application. I hope this helps.

Hello, I’m currently a part-time associate at Lakeland’s LV warehouse and have been seeking full-time status positions. I interviewed for a full-time position at Frozen Foods three or four weeks ago and my status is still listed as Under Consideration.

I am wondering if there is a number I should call or if someone might be able to look into this for me. I am very eager to gain full-time status and an interviewer I had last week at Produce actually told me if I had not been rejected at this point they probably accepted me. I hope this might be the case, I appreciate any information someone might be able provide!

One other question I have is, if accepted to the Refrigerated section, do I need to start from scratch concerning the background check/drug test/orientation or is it an automatic transition?

    Thanks,

    Steven Henson

The Employment Office should be able to answer both of your questions, Steve. You can reach them at 863-688-1188 extension 32504. Best of luck!

They told me to keep waiting, so I guess that’s what I’ll do. Thanks for the reply!

Hello, there is a Job Fair this week in the Myrtle Beach, SC area. The sign posted states that you can schedule an appointment but when I log on to publix.fullslate.com it does’t show anything to schedule. Do I need to apply at another location?

    Thanks,
    Patricia Giordano

Hi, Patricia. The appointments have all been booked but you can still attend at any time during the event. As a matter of assistance, we have found that the latter days of the event are not as busy and your wait time, if any, would be less. Good luck!

I am so glad to have found this blog. I have tried to find information about Publix’s internship programs. I am currently taking courses in Computer Science and Finance, and I was wondering if either IT systems or the Finance Department hosts interns.

I have worked for Publix since I was sixteen years old, and I just wanted to give back by working for Publix’s corporate office.

Thanks for your comment, and for your loyal contributions to our company’s success! We will be announcing our internships the first week of February and are not sure until very late which departments will be offering them. Please check back and be ready to apply right away at http://www.publix.jobs/CurrentOpenings. Good luck!

I just checked on the CurrentOpenings page on publix jobs for internships, but I didn’t find any listed. Are the internships listed on the “old” site.

I interviewed for a selector position(545BR) at the Deerfield Beach distribution center on February 11 and the interviewing manager had said that there would be a determination made by February 16th but I have not received any communication. My HR status is still showing as under consideration. Have they filled the position already and I just wasn’t notified or am I still in the running? Thank you.

    Hello,

I recently applied for the warehouse selector position in Orlando on January 17th. I was then invited to take the personality test on January 19th, which I completed and submitted that day. My employment status still says “under consideration”, though I haven’t received any communication since then. I just wanted to touch base with you to make sure that I haven’t missed any communication and/or made any errors in my application submission. I am very excited for the opportunity to become a valuable member of the Publix family and look forward to hearing back from you.

Thank you so much for your help,

    Austin Monast

Austin, it can take several weeks for hiring managers to review all submissions and determine those most qualified to move into the next step. You will be notified if you are among those candidates, otherwise, your status will change to reflect you are no longer under consideration. In the meantime, feel free to apply for other openings for which you are qualified and best of luck.

Hello, I applied for Hourly Support 3, Invoice Analyst, Real Estate Accounting and I had a phone interview 10 days ago and I have not heard anything back. How long does it normally take to find out if I was or wasn’t selected for the job?

    • Maura Satchell April 19, 2016 at 8:00 am #

It can take several weeks to review all qualified applicants but that’s great you received a phone screening! You’ll be contacted if you are considered among those most qualified for further consideration. Otherwise, your status will change.

Hello, I’ve been with Publix for 8 years and I recently interviewed for a position in corporate purchasing. My interview went great and they said I should know something by this week. Would an offer come to my store manager or to my email or would I get a phone call? Thank you for your time.

    • Maura Satchell May 5, 2016 at 12:59 pm #

Great question and congratulations for getting an interview! It depends on the hiring manager and their preferred process and it varies with each one. Sorry I cannot help you further, but fingers crossed!
