We have a brand promise — a positioning statement that defines the relationship we want to create with our customers.
That promise says: Publix is the store that knows the most and cares the most about the products we sell and the people we serve.
To understand what that means, we have developed six qualities that help define our brand. They describe what we do, who we are, what it means to be Publix and what we should strive for. Last month, I focused on being honest. This month, let’s look at being smart.
This trait is really about you. It is about making sure you understand what’s expected of you, what differentiates us from the competition, and how you can serve your customers and support your team. By increasing your knowledge of our products and services, you will be more prepared to share the Publix brand with your customers, family and friends.
Publix invests in you through education and training, so you can be successful in helping your customers and growing your career. The more you help others, the more opportunities you have to be successful, and that can result in opening the door for advancement.
Begin improving yourself, and delivering on our brand promise will be easy.
Thanks for all you do.
