It’s homey and has an island feel. The culture is very rich, and we embrace each other’s heritage. For example, all businesses and schools are closed to celebrate all cultural holidays. As children, your neighbors are called aunt and uncle as a sign of respect.

What did you want to be when you were younger?
I wanted to be a teacher like my Aunt Anne.

What’s your work philosophy?
I believe in Mr. George’s lesson of investing in others, and that’s how I want to pay it forward. We can invest in those we work with every day.
