Publix food safety experts win big


This past year was a busy one for our food safety associates! Director of Corporate Quality Assurance Michael Roberson and Senior Manager of Food Safety — Manufacturing and Distribution David Guilhaus took home top honors at the 2018 Safe Quality Food Institute’s (SQFI) International Conference. Michael was honored with the SQFI Distinguished Service Award, while David brought home the SQFI Practitioner of the Year award.

This unique educational and networking event provides food safety professionals from across the globe with practical knowledge and skills to improve their food safety and quality assurance programs. The Safe Quality Food program is recognized by retailers and foodservice providers around the world as a rigorous, credible food safety management system. Michael and David’s extensive involvement in the program allow Publix to demonstrate due diligence in all food safety matters. This gives us the opportunity to assure our customers that their food has been produced, processed, prepared and handled according to the highest possible standards, at all levels of the supply chain.
