Beachy? Colonial? Downtown modern? Have you ever noticed that the aesthetic styling of our stores fits into the cultural feel of the community? This is all by design. If you’ve ever wondered about the science behind our storefronts and designs, read on to find out more!
Publix has a team of architects, who work with our internal facilities design team to create store fronts and layouts to please our loyal customers and fans. We take great pride in providing premier service and high-quality products and this begins before customers take one step inside our stores.
Fun fact!
Did you know that each year our Publix facilities design department produces 40 to 70 new store plans and more than 70 remodel plans?
Our Publix architects also sign and seal drawings to help our expansion throughout our operating areas and support new store development. Part of what our Publix architects do is conceptualize, coordinate and produce prototypical designs and provide support for the construction efforts of existing and new facilities. This is done through interaction between our design and building teams, which include structural, mechanical and electrical engineers.
