Bartlett Pears

When Bartlett pears are in season, it’s a sure sign of fall! Bartlett pears are often considered the sweetest, most flavorful pear, so when October rolls around make sure to add them to your shopping list.

Because of the ideal climate and soils in the northwest, California, Oregon and Washington are known to be top suppliers of pears during this time of year. Our Produce teams work with growers across the country to provide our customers with high quality fruits and vegetables. Bartlett pears are picked from the tree when they are mature, but ripen best after they are picked. Pears typically turn from green to yellow as the they become softer, sweeter and ready to eat.
