bouquet of pink and white flowers

Within the United States, there are more than 4,000 people diagnosed with cancer every day. Of this statistic, more than 200,000 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women in 2016 alone. To us, Breast Cancer Awareness Month isn’t about flooding the world with pink, but about the survivors — the real stories of hope.

We couldn’t imagine a better way to spread awareness than by sharing the beauty of survivors through flowers. One of our floral vendors The Gems Group created something special to stand by the fighters, celebrate the survivors, and remember those we’ve lost.

Behind The Bouquets

Gems has been creating beautiful bouquets for 13 years, but there has never been an arrangement quite like this before. The creation of these bouquets was not an easy task. This project has been a year in the making and there’s no question that their hard work has paid off.10_7_SW_ Breast Cancer Bouquets_Image 2

Eye-catching is an understatement for this floral recipe. With vibrant chrysanthemum and stunning Alstroemeria, they represent every beautiful fighter and survivor.

What could make these bouquets better? For every bouquet shipped to Publix, a portion of the proceeds is donated to the American Cancer Society!

Survivors are not just faces, they are people. They are mothers, aunts, sisters, and friends — individuals who are a part of our everyday lives. On each bouquet, you will find a story of a brave woman who was courageous enough to share her story.

While every survivor is dear to our hearts, these six survivors all call Florida home, the state where Publix was founded. Each woman volunteers with the American Cancer Society. Not only did Gems dedicate these bouquets to these survivors, but they took things a step further by showering each survivor with gifts and a day of pampering. Each of these ladies is unique just like these bouquets. If you want to learn more about their stories, visit Pink Warrior.

Publix is the only retailer in your area where you will find these arrangements. Help us make a difference to the lives of those who have been affected by breast cancer by picking up a bouquet throughout October.
