Tips:
- Soak wooden skewers in water for 20 minutes before using so the wood doesn’t burn on the grill.
- Marinate your meat and veggies separately for at least 30 minutes before grilling for extra flavor.
- Separate poultry from beef or pork products as the cooking times vary, and you want to ensure all the meat on your skewer is safely cooked.
- Allow space in between each meat and vegetable on your skewer to allow more even cooking.
- Spray vegetables lightly with cooking oil spray so they don’t stick to the grill grate.

Dessert Kabobs
You can turn just about anything into a kabob if it will stay on the stick. For dessert options, cut up decadents like cake, brownies or rice crispies squares into small pieces or cubes and slide them onto your skewer. Add varying flavors like soft chocolate chunks, berries, marshmallows or gummies. Pair with a delicious dipping sauce or whipped topping, and voila!
You can also make decadent mini kabobs by cutting up cheesecake into bite size squares and adding dipped strawberries. Pro tip: Freeze the cheesecake for an hour before cutting to obtain the perfect little squares.
