Grab your beads and turn up the jazz music — it’s time for Mardi Gras! This event is known for bringing people together through delicious food, jazz music and bright colors. Mardi Gras is French for “Fat Tuesday,” which is celebrated the day before Ash Wednesday. This celebration is well known in New Orleans, but there is no need to travel to Bourbon Street to celebrate. Bring the party home with these Mardi Gras-inspired recipes and products!

Mardi Gras Products

We have ready-to-eat Mardi Gras treats available in our deli and bakery too. Each year we offer king cakes and Paczki. Similar to a donut, Paczki are Polish desserts that are deep fried, then covered in powdered sugar. Paczki used to be filled with pork fat, but today they’re filled with fruit or cream filling for a sweeter taste. Our stores typically receive king cakes and Paczki by mid-February in anticipation of weeks of celebration.

We can’t forget about our savory Mardi Gras wings! Available year-round by special order in the deli, these wings are available in eight, 10 and 20 pieces or platters. They are the perfect addition to your Mardi Gras celebration!
