Everyone loves a good grilled cheese sandwich, especially when it’s paired with a cup of soup or bowl of chili. Anyone can become an expert when it comes to making a grilled cheese, but we’ve put together a few pointers for perfecting your buttery, cheesy sandwich. You can thank us later.

Grilled Cheese

Tips:

  1. Try using something different than your traditional white bread. Switch it up with a croissant, bagel or maybe pretzel bread. You’ll be surprised how much it changes the taste (for the better).
  2. Don’t limit yourself to one kind of cheese. Step outside your American cheese comfort zone. Pick a cheese below.
  3. Add some pizazz! Throw in your favorite meat, vegetable or even condiment to bring your sandwich to another level.
  4. What is a grilled cheese without soup anyway? Or maybe the real question is, what is soup without grilled cheese? Either way, we suggest that you try your grilled cheese creation with our Three-Bean Chili with Beef or Italian Bean Soup.

Pick a Cheese…Any Cheese:

Make it a Stack:

Remember that pizazz we talked about? Well, let’s get it started! Want to add bacon and eggs to your grilled cheese to create a new breakfast sandwich? How about adding marinara sauce and basil for a new Italian favorite? Be creative, the list is endless.
