Change is a good thing and we have a lot of changes, or shall we say updates, to our mobile app! With technological improvements, we promise the changes to our mobile app are for the better. Maybe you’ve even noticed some of them! Follow along as we break down what’s new and learn how to navigate the new app, so you are getting to use all the cool new features.

What’s New

Our updated Publix app requires a login. By creating a Publix account, you will get a personalized app experience with offers just for you! This includes digital coupons and shopping lists to make your shopping experience a pleasure. Of course, you do not have to create an account to save when shopping with us! You can choose to continue as a guest to view our weekly ad at

The new homepage is all about YOU! Do you notice a theme here yet? Once you log in, you can choose to remain logged in, which will keep you logged in for one year. You will see all your personalized savings and in-store pickups. The homepage makes it easy to simply reorder that delicious meal.

Fun fact: No more waiting in the checkout line, you can now pay for select deli in-store pickup items within the app!

Our store finder is located on the homepage and allows quick access to not just your preferred store, but frequently shopped stores. Be sure to have location services on! Your app will adjust to the Publix location you are visiting when location services are on.

Navigating the Tabs

On the homepage you will notice new tabs located at the bottom of your app. Each tab is responsible for different sections of the app.

Savings Tab

When you select the Savings tab at the bottom of the app, you will be directed to the weekly ad, digital coupons and all deals! This might be our favorite tab because who doesn’t enjoy a good deal? Keep in mind that the weekly ad will not display page by page like it does in print. However, the coolest part of this tab is being able to break down savings by department. The scrollbar at the top slides to display categories and departments such as, BOGO items, digital coupons, bakery, deli, etc.

Shop Online Tab

Our Shop Online tab allows quick and easy access to delivery, curbside pickup and in-store pickup. When you select delivery or curbside pickup, you will be directed to our delivery app (if you have it downloaded), powered by Instacart, where you can place your order. By selecting in-store pickup, you will be directed to a new screen displaying subs and flatbreads by default. The scrollbar at the top will slide, as it does in the Savings tab, to show other in-store pickup item options.

List Tab

Build your shopping list in the List tab! There are a few new features to this shopping list. First and foremost, the green “add item” icon in the bottom right hand corner will allow you to add generic items to the list. Using the global search function to add items to your shopping list will show all available products matching that search. For example, using the global search function to search “eggs” will show all brands and sizes of eggs available, and you can add items to the shopping list through the global search.

The List tab will automatically show your clipped digital coupons that match items on your shopping list. To hide clipped digital coupons from your shopping list, just tap the “Show Digital Coupons” box at the top of this tab.

The drop-down box located next to “Show Digital Coupons” will allow you to view your shopping list in different orders, such as aisle location, recently added or A to Z.

Lastly, we can’t forget Favorites! This feature is a little different now. In-store pickup items can no longer be added to favorites; instead you can find your recently ordered items on the home page of the app. However, you can still favorite other products by clicking on the product and selecting the heart in the top right corner. When a product is selected as a favorite it can be added to and removed from the shopping list within the Favorites. Favorites are found at the top of the List tab.

Pay Tab

Drum roll please… the Pay tab houses our newest feature, Mobile Pay!

If you haven’t already set up this awesome feature, we’ll help you! Use the three bars in the top left-hand corner of the app to select “Payment Preferences.” There you can add your preferred card to use with Mobile Pay.

Once your card has been added, you can use Mobile Pay!

  1. At checkout, click on the Pay tab.
  2. Enter your Publix PIN (your Publix PIN is the four-digit pin you created when you first set up Mobile Pay).
  3. A camera will pop up. Center the QR Code, located in the bottom right hand corner of the computer screen displaying your order, in the square box.
  4. Make sure you let your cashier know you are using Mobile Pay and they will direct you from there!

Hi Laraine! The Publix app has a list function that you may add items to for your use when shopping in the store. However, this is not the same as a shopping cart and curbside orders cannot be placed from there. Our curbside service is powered by a third party company, Instacart, and curbside orders must be placed through them. You can start your order at

Im finding the pharmacy part of the app impossible to check on a prescription that I transferred. No option to check the status of a transferred prescription without adding yourself as patient which requires you to either enter a rx number or scan of the prescription. Problem is, it’s a new transferred prescription.Going in circles and very frustrating.
