Day or night, it’s easy to enjoy a hot cup of tea. While there are several varieties, the three that we’ll talk about today originate from the Camellia Sinensis shrub. The type of tea produced depends on how the leaves of the plant are processed, as well as how much oxygen the leaves are exposed to. According to the Tea Association of the U.S.A., during oxidation, tea leaves undergo natural chemical reactions that result in distinctive color and taste characteristics.
