Pop, fizz and pour up something delicious for your next event! There is always something to celebrate, whether it’s an engagement, a new baby or a Sunday birthday brunch. Offer your guests a bubbly bar. The best part is it’s easy to set up so you won’t be stuck in the kitchen serving up drinks!
Juice and Bubbly
Let’s start with the base of your bubbly bar, the bubbly itself! Consider having a few different options, like Champagne or Prosecco. What’s the difference you might ask? Simply put, Champagne is from France while Prosecco is from Italy, but their tastes do vary. Since they are made with different grapes, Prosecco is known to be a tad bit sweeter. Either one of these bubblies will work great since they will be used in a mixed drink! If you are looking for a non-alcoholic option, offer club soda or sparkling cider. Again, depending on what flavor you prefer the sparkling cider will have a much sweeter sip.
Next step is the mixers. Keep it simple with just orange juice, which creates the traditional mimosa or offer a variety of juices. If you plan on having more than a couple of guests, we suggest you opt for a variety of mixers. Here are some of our favorites, feel free to add or switch up the selections:
- Mango nectar
- Pineapple juice
- Cranberry juice
- Guava nectar
- Cherry juice
- Passionfruit juice
- White grape juice
Extra
If you plan on hosting this bar outside or just want to offer a little something extra, freeze some bubbly ice cubes! It’s super easy. Fill an ice cube tray with the same champagne or prosecco you plan to serve and place the tray in the freezer until the cubes are frozen. Place them in a bowl or individual glasses to keep everyone’s cocktails cool without having to worry about them getting watered down.
Ratio
Each bottle serves about 6–8 mimosas. However, everyone has a preference on how they prefer their cocktail. Some go with the 50-50 ratio, while others might like three parts champagne, one part juice. Your guests can experiment until they find exactly what they like!
Toppings
Grab a few bowls to fill with your favorite fruits! These are fun to top each drink and are yummy to snack on when guests reach the bottom of their glass.
- Blueberries
- Mango
- Cherries
- Blackberries
- Raspberries
- Mint
- Gummy bears
- Strawberries
- Oranges
- Limes
- Lemon
Food Bites
It’s never a bad idea to offer up some finger foods to accompany your drinks. Stick with a lighter fare and small portions. Some great choices include quiche, fried deviled eggs, bacon strips and sweet treats like muffins or raspberry filled donuts.
If you want to get creative, build your own mini pancake stacks. These are super easy! Here is what you’ll need:
- Skewers
- Frozen mini pancakes (or homemade)
- Powdered sugar
- Hazelnut spread
- Fruit topping of your choice
Directions:
- Warm pancakes and spread a thin layer of hazelnut spread in between 3 cakes
- Top with powdered sugar and a piece of fruit
- Place skewer through the fruit and pancakes
- Voila! Enjoy!
Décor
Be creative and have fun! If you want a simple look, throw a colored cloth over your table. Want more pizazz? Decorate a chalk board sign, grab some balloons and bring your vision to life!
