Sometimes gatherings with friends and family can be easier when hosted at a popular local spot.  Tailgating is no different! Save the hassle of cooking and hosting—follow  our T-E-A-M suggestions to score big this football season.

T- Time

The bulk of your time will be spent coordinating. Call your local hot spot and make a reservation based upon the people you invited. Send invitations and once RSVPs are received you can update the venue to adjust the head count on your reservation. Once your time is set, be sure to keep the guests in the loop! Hosting your tailgate at a restaurant will alleviate the stress of cooking and entertaining. Just be sure the venue you pick is going to be airing the game.

E- Entertaining

Be conscious of who will attend. Will there be kids, or is it an adult party? You can adjust your needs accordingly. If kids are involved, bring a couple of activities to keep them busy. Having plans to keep guests entertained before the game starts is a good idea too. You can play games where you guess which team will win and by how much, or perhaps bring a board game to help pass the time!

Game day colors are necessary, even when dressing up the table. You can add a little pizzazz to the party by bringing in a delicious football-themed Publix cake*, that you can customize with your team colors. Not only does it taste fantastic, it will serve as the perfect centerpiece. Luckily, you don’t have to worry about any other necessities the venue will provide the silverware and more.

*Call the restaurant to ensure you can bring a cake and find out if they charge any cutting or plating fees.

M- Meals

The easiest part of all, everyone can order their own food! You don’t have to worry about quantities or pleasing them all, let each guest choose for him or herself. Keep in mind that whether you plan on covering the meal or splitting checks, simply make sure everyone knows ahead of time so they can plan accordingly.

It’s time to send out those invites! Start planning your easy and enjoyable venue tailgate so that you can sit back and relax during the event. Game day is sure to be a success!

When choosing what to write about, she thinks about her own life and what she wants to know more about – that way she can learn something new, too! Although her favorite Publix brand product is the Bakery Carrot Cake, you’ll probably find her snacking on peppers and drinking lots of water when writing her blogs. Outside of work, Catalina enjoys fitness, reading, crafting, and exploring new things (do you see a theme here?).
